Last Saturday, we went to a Career Day event hosted by Aditi. She invited Judge LaDoris Cordell, Beth Griffin Program Manager for Apple, Ruth Lutes SVP Customer Care & Quality for Synaptics, and Priya Huskins Senior VP for Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. to come and talk to us. I thought that the event was very fun. My favorite speaker was Judge Cordell because she is so inspirational and she makes her speeches fun and entertaining as well. I liked her story of her one case with the husband and wife fighting over the husbandís teeth. I thought that all the speakers were inspirational and had very good advices to give us. I thought that it would have been better if there were more job varieties or more jobs that girls our age wants to learn more about. I think it would also have been better if there was at least one speaker that was younger or closer to our age. Overall, it was a really good event, I really enjoyed meeting Judge Cordell and the other speakers. Her advices were really good and when she started talking, she grabbed our attention right away; which got us all interested in what she was going to say. This event got me thinking about what I want to be when I grow up. Iím still not sure what I want to be when I grow up, there are a lot of things Iíd like to do, but Iím going to enjoy my time as a student now. Like the speakers said, youíre only in high school once, enjoy your time. This was a great event where I learned a lot; about jobs and life lessons. I thought that Aditi did a great job hosting this whole event, she was really nice, and she even came around and talked to some girls before her event started. I thought her slideshow on creating your own business was good. If I could come back to this event, I would because Iíd want to hear more stories and advices from Judge Cordell.
